Job Description:

As a Tour Guide at Forbidden Caverns, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable experiences for our visitors. You will lead guided tours through our captivating cave system, ensuring that guests have a safe, enjoyable, and informative journey underground. This position requires excellent communication and people skills, as well as the ability to engage with diverse groups of tourists, many of whom are from out of state.

Key Responsibilities:

– Lead guided tours through Forbidden Caverns, providing insightful commentary and information about the cave’s history, geology, and formations.
– Ensure the safety and well-being of tour participants by adhering to established safety protocols and guidelines.
– Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, answering questions and addressing concerns as needed.
– Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere throughout the tour experience, enhancing guest satisfaction and enjoyment.
– Assist with crowd management and coordination to ensure smooth tour operations.
– Uphold the standards of Forbidden Caverns by presenting a neat and professional appearance at all times.
– Collaborate with fellow team members to deliver exceptional customer service and contribute to the overall success of the attraction.

Requirements:

– Must be at least 16 years old.
– Authorized to work in the United States.
– Possess reliable transportation to and from Forbidden Caverns.
– Comfortable walking for extended periods throughout the day.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to engage with diverse groups of tourists, including out-of-state visitors.
– Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends (excluding Thursdays and Sundays when Forbidden Caverns is closed) and holidays.
– Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, or tourism is preferred but not required.
